The only issue I've seen with the 224 so far is the new plastic cooling fan is wider (thicker) where it fits onto the flywheel. Not a hard job if you pay attention to what your doing and follow along with the video.Since the top speed of your kart, mini bike, or whatever, is directly related to the top speed of your engine, getting more RPMs will get you faster. The different stages of modification apply to most Honda clone engines and they are basically the same on the Honda GX390 (big block) clones like the Predator 420 or Duromax 440.Rotate the crankshaft (part#32) so that you can easily pull the governor arm out with pliers. If you have a non-hemi predator engine, I would recommend you get the Stage 2 Kit for the Predator 212cc Engine (Non-Hemi). This kit comes with valve springs. Installing the stage 2 kit on your predator go-kart should increase the top speed by about 10 – 15 mph (not on top of the stage 1 speed; only from the engine’s original top speed).
